We’ll confirm your appointment via WhatsApp within the next business day. 5. At the appointment, our experts will do a final inspection to verify the condition of your device. Note: The quote provided is an estimated quote based on the form you filled in. You’ll get a final quote after we inspect the device in person. On app 1. Through the Sell button on the Carousell app, under the "Sell to Carousell" section, tap on "Mobile" to sell your phone to Carousell. 2. You will receive an indicative price quote when you provide the brand, model, body condition, screen condition, display condition and any other defects of the phone you are looking to sell. Tip: Most of the required information of your phone can be found in your phone's “About”pages. 3. You will be offered an initial price quote. If you are satisfied with the quoted price* and would like to proceed, you can choose to either schedule a pick-up and cashout at your doorstep, or drop-off at your preferred iStudio location. 4. We’ll confirm your appointment via WhatsApp within the next business day. 5. At the appointment, our experts will do a final inspection to verify the condition of your device. *Depending on our final assessment of the device, the final offer may differ from the initial offer. You may choose to accept or reject the final offer. Depending on whether pick-up or drop-off is selected, a full diagnostic test of your phone will be performed at either your doorstep or one of our partner stores. At the point of device pick-up, the agent will assess the condition of the phone to confirm that it is as declared. If the condition of the phone is deemed to be lower than what was declared, the final quote offered in person may be lower than the initial offer quoted. If you’re not satisfied with the final quote, there is no obligation to accept the quote.
1. Upon submitting the Sell to Carousell form, an email will be sent to you with the summarised booking details 2. Our customer service representative will call or WhatsApp you to confirm the details and your preferred pick-up time slot 3. A confirmation email will be sent to you with scheduled pick-up date and time. 4. A tech agent will go to your place at the scheduled date and time to do a final inspection of the phone and confirm the final offer. 5. If the offer is accepted, the money will be transferred to you on the spot via DuitNow.
For verification purposes, our tech agent can only DuitNow the number submitted in the form. Please ensure your DuitNow number is accurate before submitting your booking. Should you need to make any changes, you will be required to cancel the existing booking and you will have to re-submit the form again with the updated DuitNow number.

Pickups and Locations
After registering and filling up our pre-survey, select the "at your doorstep" option then select your preferred pickup date. Afterwards, our customer service team will reach out to you via whatsapp to confirm the pickup time. (Preferred timeslot is subject to availability of our courier agents, so you may not get the exact timeslot indicated.) (We seek your understanding that courrier agents/partners may not arrived punctually on the timeslot indicated while highly depending on the traffic condition during the particular booking day.)
Yes, please contact the customer service agent who reached out to you and indicate your preferred timeslot. We seek your understanding that timeslots will be subject to the availability of our courier agents.
The pickup location you set can be anywhere in Kuala Lumpur and Klang Valley areas (except restricted areas). Simply register and make a pickup request. Once confirmed, our courier agents will meet you there to conduct inspections and transactions. If the location you set around Kuala Lumpur and Klang Valley is not available (restricted areas), our customer service team will contact you again for location shifting or rescheduling depending on your availability date.
Carousell always strives to be able to schedule a pickup as soon as the next day after you made a booking.
Once you meet with our courier agent, inspection, validation and payment should take less than 20 mins.
That usually doesn't happen unless there are some unforseen circumstances. The Carousell team will update the pickup status in real-time so if there is a delay, please contact the customer service agent that reached out to you to schedule a new one if you are unable to wait any longer.
If you would like to cancel, please contact the customer service agent who reached out to you as soon as possible. If cancellation is a must due to unforseen circumstances, please cancel 1 hour before the booking time slot allocated to you.
Data Related
Yes, we prioritise the security and privacy of your personal data. The platform has a strong security procedure to protect your information during the sales process. We also conduct data wiping once the device is back in the warehouse during the inspection process.
No, we advise you to delete all personal data from your device only after accepting our final offer price and choosing to sell. Also, if you didn't do this, it is not a problem as our technical team will wipe all the data available on your device after we accept the sold device. Important notice: If you accepted the final offer price and sell to us, please logout and remove Apple / Samsung / Any ID to clear any passcode that is locking the device.
Pricing/Grading
We assess the value of your device based on several factors, including its condition, age, model, and market demand. The assessment process is designed to give you a fair and competitive offer. There shall be no offer negotation conducted with our courrier agents/partners once the final assessment and offer are concluded.
The price on the website is an initial estimate. At the time of pickup, our courier agents will do a thorough inspection of the device's condition and the results of the inspection will determine the actual price offered. Please be assured that our process is transparent and any difference(s) between what was entered on the website and the inspection will be clearly indicated. There are no obligations to sell based on the final offer, you may choose to sell your device to us only if you are satisfied. Carousell Team reserved the rights to reject if the condition of the device does not meet the requirements or heavily damaged. There are no obligations for the Carousell team to must accept the device.
Your device's condition will be assessed based on several criteria as follows: 1. Physical condition of devices 2. Functions of your device, such as touch screen, speaker, battery life, etc.
Fees/Payments
No, all pickup and inspection services from us are free of charge.
Once you have agreed to the price offered by our courier agent during the pickup, the payment process usually only takes around 5 - 10 minutes and payment will be made directly to your DuitNow account immediately. Our courier agent will ensure that the payment has been received by you first before taking the sold device. For Dropoff trade-in at SPR Store, the payment will be transferred to DuitNow account as well. Important Notice: Please ensure DuitNow account is set up foremost and linked to your bank account (NOT E-Wallet Applications / Account ex: Shopee Pay, TounchnGo, etc) before selling your device. We are not liable for payments that does not reflect in your bank account.

Yes, at the moment you may select to trade-in with our partner SPR (Smart Phone Repair) outlet.
We do not accept devices that are completely spoilt. The device must have a functioning touch screen and be able to install the Carousell app for us to run diagnostics.
